This beer stein is one of the original Thewalt 1893 collectors edition beer steins that is now produced by King. This Beer Stein features a 5 rich deep relief panels. The center panel depicts The Emperor ("Kaiser") Charles V, sitting on his throne. Emperor Charles was the ruler of some European territories. When he stepped down, he divided his empire among hes son Philip and brother Ferdinant. Both of which are depicted in the adjacent panels. The last two panels are depicting knights in a deep relief method. The bottom area of the stein is lined with high reliefs of Lions, a symbol of royalty. The beer stein is issued as a hand-numbered Limited Edition with a 2,500 piece issue limit. The stein is topped an ornate, hand attached 100% lead free pewter lid.This beer stein holds 0.75 Liter (approx. 25oz), is approx. 11" tall and is hand-painted with a ceramic glaze in a rustic blue color schema on grey base color. Glaze is applied using multiple firing processes where the stein is fired for each individual color, creating a glass-like smooth and colored surface. This German Beer Stein is 100% food safe and can be used to consume beverages. Due to the thick and high quality material, the stein can be placed in the freezer prior to usage and will keep your beverages cool for a long time.
