Authentic German Wheat Beer Mug, produced by King-Werke in Germany. King, opened in 1949 in Germany, is one of the last remaining original stein factories which manufactures beer steins in accordance with century old traditions. All beer mugs are 100% "Made in Germany" using the finest "Wester Wald" clay. This Beer Mug features a deep relief with a gold colored framed decal shield. The shield carries the "lesser" German Coat of Arms as it was used from 1889-1918. The Coat of Arms decal is fired onto the stein in a kiln, creating a durable and long lasting decoration. The deep relief is very detailed and ornate, featuring a traditional flower pattern. This beer stein holds 0.5 Liter (approx. 17oz), is approx. 9.75" tall and is hand-painted with a ceramic glaze in a traditional brown and blue on a gray base. Glaze is applied using multiple firing processes where the stein is fired for each individual color, creating a glass-like smooth and colored surface. This Wheat Beer Cup is 100% food safe and can be used to consume beverages. It is primarily intended for consumption of the traditional "German Wheat Beer" but could certainly be used for any other liquid. Due to the thick and high quality material, the stein can be placed in the freezer prior to usage and will keep your beverages cool for a long time. A very unique gift for any special occasion.
