This extraordinary 3 Liter 17 inch tall Limited Edition Stein is based on an historical original currently in the archives of King-Werk Germany. Sculptured by an unknown artist around the year 1902, this magnificent stein features the famous scene of Hermann the German and his Wolfhound. Hermann is standing in the forest of teuoburg located in the NE of Germany ready for combat, blowing his Battle horn to alarm his fellow German tribe chiefs. In this true historic event, in the year 9 A.D. the united German tribes under Hermann defeated three Roman legions. This changed history in Europe as the Roman empire never again crossed the Rhine river in an effort to conquer Germany. This is the 15th stein in King Limitaet collectors edition and issued with a strict limit of 2500 steins.
