This spectacular stein is an authentic replica of an antique stein molded by Peter Duemler around the year 1870. Scenes of the most significant tale of the Greek mythology, the Trojan War (1250 B.C.) as told by Homer in his "ILIAD" and portrayed on the stein's collar as well as on the helmet. Paris, son of Priamos, king of Troy and Helena, wife of Menelaos was kidnapped and taken to Troy. Here they were not only safe behind the walls of Troy but also protected by Cupid the God of Love. These are the scenes featured on the helmet. The pewter thumb rest is also designed to portrait Hermes, the messenger for Zeus.This stein is a Limited Edition with only 2500 steins being sold worldwide.
